 On January 17, 1995, the M7 earthquake struck Kobe at 5:46 a.m. It was the first earthquake directly under the city after the war, and 6,434 people died, including related deaths.It’s been 25 years.
 At the time, I was working on research on earthquakes directly beneath the capital in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Research Laboratory.I felt that the people of Kobe took my place, so I made disaster prevention my life’s work.He continued to say, “Tomorrow, an earthquake just below the capital could happen.”
 Surely the day is approaching.
 Then, in 1996, we established a network of shopping districts and NPOs through the “Waseda Life Town Development” and the “Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Promotion Vision” created with the citizens of Tokyo from 1999.
 The Miyakejima eruption occurred in June 2000, and the entire island was evacuated in September.There was no damage other than the island, but in the world of the Internet, the word flying around and confused.
 There is chaos just below the capital.I felt it was important to create a reliable network before the earthquake.
 In August 2002, a voluntary organization called Tokyo Life Portal Site (Inota) was established on the Waseda University campus, and Junichiro Yasui, chairman of Waseda Shoten, became a representative.
 On December 25, 2002, the General Meeting of NPO establishment was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office.
 Several directors, as well as people from a wide range of fields such as disaster prevention, welfare, and town planning, gathered.

 Since the beginning of 2003, our activities have become a color of seismic reinforcement.
